Winter Newsletter + TGIF! Zombie Slayer Updates for January 23, 2026
Happy Friday, players!
We're off to a great start this year, and we wanted to start off our Winter Newsletter in 2026 by thanking all of our players! A big thank you this year to the over 2,000,000 new players who joined all of our games in 2025.
As always, we want to start things off by showing our gratitude to each of our players (whether you are brand new to the Kano games, or you've been playing & building your character since the very beginning)! Moving into the New Year, we wanted to also say thank you to everyone in all of our games who participated in the most recent 2026 Winter Raid Games! A BIG congratulations to all of our winning teams, and to everyone who helped push their team to the final checkpoint! We've got lots more coming this year (to all of our games), now let's jump into the TGIF and see what's happening this week!
In-Game Updates:
The Faction Wars event begins today! Zombie Slayer players can dive in starting at 10AM (PST). Rally your team and make sure you’re all enrolled before it kicks off. Battle hard for the best rewards and good luck!
A NEW Prestige Location is here (for those who have completed Tijuana already, our newest Location). Eligible Slayers can now revisit Tijuana & complete higher Tier Outbreaks to earn bonus XP, Cash, Skill Points, & Prestige Coins. - We're refreshing the Prestige Shop soon! Next week join us for an Admin Blitz event! If you're around on the following date, make sure to drop by & nab some sweet Coin off of the Kano folk. Watch out for the group chats that get posted beforehand and remember to bump up those Admins Killed and Listed stats.
Admin Blitz events will now also have a special Kano item giveaway, so don’t miss out! We hope to see you there on:
Tuesday, January 27th - Server 1, Server 2, and the Kongregate & Armor Servers @ 3PM (PST).
Next week starting on Monday January 26th is Blitz Week! All week long there will be an increased number of Blitz events running, including a mixture of the new special modes. Keep an eye out for targets and rack up those kills!
Lastly, a reminder that twice a week there are new item drops in-game. Limited Time items on Tuesdays and Limited Quantity on Fridays. Keep an eye out for anything that catches your interest!
Tip of the Week: We've recently added Faction Tags! Faction Leaders can now apply up to 5 (maximum) tags to their Faction to give other players a better picture of your playstyle, play frequency, time zone, etc. Players can now also search & sort by Faction Tags when looking for a specific type of Faction to join!

General Updates:
For our Discord community, every Friday you can join Matthew and the Player Success team for the Discord Stream! On Fridays at 12PM PST (or 3PM EST) you can join us live in our growing Kano Community Discord. Hang out and find out what’s happening next in our games, and who knows, you may just win yourself a prize of bonus FP or an exclusive item!

We recently released a new method for players to acquire UN Credits through a system called Rev U. By completing tasks such as making progress in a game or by filling out a survey, players can start earning extra UN Credits for their account! For our Mobile App players, we now have a new option for purchasing Favor Points, the Xsolla Webstore! Not only does it support more payment methods than what was previously available, but you’ll also have access to exclusive larger bundles of UN Credits! A reminder to our players about completing the Kano ID account upgrade. Eligible players (Facebook/Server 1 players) will see the banner on their homepage in-game near the top and it should only take a couple minutes. There are wonderful benefits to doing so:
- 25 FP bonus for signing up
- Secure your account (protection against potential loss of your Facebook or Mobile credentials)
- Switch between devices or logging onto other Kano hosted sites
- Specials offers on Kanoplay
