TGIF! Viking Clan Updates for January 16, 2026

Happy Friday, players!

We hope everyone has been having a good start to the new year. Things have picked right back up here at Kano HQ and we’ve got tons of exciting game news coming your way all year long. Now, let’s jump into the news of the week!

In-Game Updates:

Born of rot, rage, and ancient hunger, Grendel stalks the battlefield as a living nightmare. His twisted form lurches from the shadows, armor fused to flesh, teeth bared in a ceaseless snarl. Every step he takes is heavy with menace, every roar echoing like a death sentence for the unprepared. To defeat this Raid Boss you’ll need the full might of your Viking party. Cast down this foe and claim your rewards, but be wary for there is something else going on during this event…

The Raid Games have begun! Join a team and take on the Grendel Raid Boss, where all actions will go towards your team's overall progress. Complete check points to earn special items from Common all the way to Mythic! Pop the bottles 2026 is here and we’re kicking it off with The New Year’s Sale! Live now in-game you can get exclusive item sets + Favor Points packs. Don’t wait, because you only have until Saturday January 17th @ 9AM PST until the party ends.

Our newest mini-game makes its return! The Ragnar’s Voyage Challenge is live now and runs until January 19th. Destroy the ship to earn XP and Cash and by dealing enough damage and destroying it, you’ll earn yourself the clear bonus Item! Get ready for a weekday Challenge with the Snowy Hill Calendar! You have until Friday January 23rd to complete it and earn yourself XP and the clear bonus item!

Lastly, a reminder that twice a week there are new item drops in-game. Limited Time items on Tuesdays and Limited Quantity on Fridays. Keep an eye out for anything that catches your interest!

Tip of the Week: We've recently added Guild Tags! Guild Leaders can now apply up to 5 (maximum) tags to their Guild to give other players a better picture of your playstyle, play frequency, time zone, etc. Players can now also search & sort by Guild Tags when looking for a specific type of Guild to join!

For our Discord community, every Friday you can join Matthew and the Player Success team for the Discord Stream! On Fridays at 12PM PST (or 3PM EST) you can join us live in our growing Kano Community Discord. We recently released a new method for players to acquire Favor Points through a system called Rev U. By completing tasks such as making progress in a game or by filling out a survey, players can start earning extra FP for their account! For our Mobile App players, we now have a new option for purchasing Favor Points, the Xsolla Webstore! Not only does it support more payment methods than what was previously available, but you’ll also have access to exclusive larger bundles of FP! A reminder to our players about completing the Kano ID account upgrade. Eligible players (Facebook/Server 1 players) will see the banner on their homepage in-game near the top and it should only take a couple minutes. There are wonderful benefits to doing so:
