TGIF! Game Updates for April 23, 2021

Happy Friday All!

We have plenty to cover this week for the TGIF, so let’s jump into what’s been going on this past week and what’s coming up for the games:

In-Game Events

The Earth Day Sale is on now in Pirate Clan! Pick up some great bundles at a deep discount because Mother Earth would want you to.

The beguiling Sirens return this week in Pirate Clan! Resist the lure of their song and challenge them for new Superior Items and achievements this weekend only.

The ruling crime family of Lagos, the Adebayo Family, is now available as the Co-op Boss for that Location along with the Minigame! The crafting will be out next week to wrap Lagos up.

And finally, new Loyalty items are now available for Mob Wars: LCN, Pirate Clan and Viking Clan. Head on over to the Loyalty tab and see what you can pick up!

Battle Pass Season 3 and Player Success Livestream!

Next week in Mob Wars: LCN, Battle Pass Season 3 will start at 9am on Wednesday April 28th. Make sure to collect any available rewards you have remaining for Season 2 before it swaps over!

Yesterday’s Syndicate Quests in Mob Wars: LCN

If you were around yesterday morning for the start of Syndicate Quests in LCN, you may have noticed that it did not get off to a great start. We’d like to give you an explanation of what happened behind the scenes and a link to an apology package we put together (if you haven’t already collected it from the News).

The event started with a small number of players in a single Syndicate who were experiencing an issue with their Job completions not counting towards that Quest. This is a problem that happens on rare occasions so we have experience with handling that and it was fixed quickly. What happened afterwards unfortunately affected a lot more players and was an issue that hasn’t come up before.

Around 10 am Pacific time, Quests started opening and closing out of order, or removing progress. This was due to an unforeseen issue with our database performance causing it to process much slower than it should have and this cascaded through the event.

We did some intense troubleshooting on the issue and drew up a few contingencies, but thankfully our team was able to get to the bottom of this as soon as they could, identified what was wrong and released a fix. 

Problems lingered for a bit and we did have to do some small cleanup for individual players but we managed to get Quests back on track.

Our promise to players is to provide a solid, fun experience and yesterday we didn’t deliver that. We apologize for the problematic start to Quests, and we’ve made changes behind the scenes to make sure this doesn’t happen again. 

Thanks for your understanding and patience while we worked on restoring the event and thanks to the players who sent in tickets about their experience.
